1Who we are
Melon.lat is owned and operated by Phytoventures Ltd (company number 16388003), registered at Belmont Suite, Chorley New Road, Horwich, Bolton, England, BL6 6HG. For any privacy question, write to privacy@melon.lat. We are the data controller for the information described here.
2What we collect
- Application details you give us: your full name, email address, company or organisation, job title, phone number, the country you are based in, an optional LinkedIn or website, and the reason you are applying.
- Account details: a hashed password and a signed session cookie so you can stay logged in.
- Membership agreement: the name you sign with, and the date and time you signed.
- Billing details: handled by our payment processor. We store a customer reference and your subscription status, never your full card number.
- Service usage: basic technical logs needed to operate and secure the platform.
3Why we use it
To review your application, to provide the membership and its included services, to take payment, to keep your account secure, and to contact you about your membership. We do not use your data for advertising and we do not build profiles to sell.
4Our no-log VPN
The virtual private network included with membership is run under a no-log policy. We do not record the sites you visit, your traffic contents, or connection timestamps tied to your identity.
5Who we share it with
We share the minimum needed with a small number of processors who act on our instructions: Stripe (payments), our email provider (account and membership email), and our hosting provider. We do not sell your data or pass it to advertisers. We may disclose data where the law requires it.
6How long we keep it
We keep your account and membership records for as long as you are a member, and for a reasonable period afterwards to meet legal, tax, and accounting duties. Declined applications are kept only as long as needed, then removed.
7Your rights
Under UK data protection law you may ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, or restrict how we use it. To exercise any of these, write to privacy@melon.lat. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
8Cookies
We use only the cookies needed to run your membership. There are no advertising or third-party tracking cookies. See our Cookie Policy for the full list.
9Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date above and, where the change is significant, let members know by email.
