1What a cookie is
A cookie is a small file a website stores on your device. Some are strictly necessary for a site to work, for example to keep you signed in. Others, which we do not use, track you for advertising or analytics.
2The cookies we use
| Name | Purpose | Type | Expiry |
|---|---|---|---|
| mlsess | Keeps you signed in to your account. Signed and HttpOnly. | Strictly necessary | 30 days |
| melon_cookie_ack | Remembers that you have seen this cookie notice, so we do not show it again. | Strictly necessary | 1 year |
3Why there is no "reject" option
Both cookies above are strictly necessary to provide the service you have asked for, so they do not require consent and cannot be turned off while you use your account. We do not set any optional, advertising, or analytics cookies, so there is nothing further to decline.
4Third parties
When you pay, Stripe may set its own cookies on its payment fields to prevent fraud and process the payment securely. That is governed by Stripe's own policies. We do not use third-party advertising or social media cookies.
5Managing cookies
You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings, but if you block the cookies above you will not be able to stay signed in. For more on how we handle data, see our Privacy Policy.
